DESQ Recording Studio is an Innovative custom-designed Creative space, where the focus is on capturing and creating the highest quality Audio possible, using traditional Analogue gear and more modern Analogue modelling software & Plug-ins.
Situated in the excellently located village of Kilcolgan, right on the N67 Limerick/Galway road in south County Galway, we are one minute walk from bus stops on major routes to & from many places including: Oranmore (7 mins), Galway city (20 mins), Kinvara (15 mins), Ennis (50 mins), Limerick city (1hr 50 mins).
There is ample parking available on site, and lots of food, coffee & drinks options all within 100 metres of our door.
Bring your own gear and plug into our Analogue mixer and Preamps.

DESQ Recording Studio is unique to the West of Ireland as our focus, skills & experience come from (and are influenced by) Electronic styles of music. The techniques for producing and recording Electronic music, and its many sub-genres vary considerably from your traditional “Rock & Roll” of years gone by.
That being said, we still cater for all types of recording, from Spoken Word to individual unique instruments, and Vintage & Modern Analogue Synthesizers.
We also have a full, dedicated in-house Professional Club DJ setup to record mixes on, practice with, or to Broadcast your next Radio Show or Livestream from.
With a selection of top quality Mics and Hardware from brand names including Neumann, Rode, Tascam & Universal Audio, whatever you wish to record, the finished product will be quality. The Studio itself is purpose built with Soundproofing materials, including a dedicated Vocal Booth inside.
We have a range of High-end Processing Plug-ins & Hardware Analogue Preamps to choose from, so you can get just the sound you need
Hire out the studio to use our selection of Synths, or bring your own gear to run through our Analogue mixer and Preamps, to get those tracks fleshed out into Club & Radio ready productions.
We also offer in-house production at very good rates so please get in touch for more information.
With a full Professional Club DJ Setup, DESQ Recording Studio is available for hire to DJ’s who want to practice in a soundproof Environment before that big Festival or Club booking.
DJ Tutoring is also available if you want to learn or brush up your skills on the latest industry standard equipment. Specific brands and pieces of gear can be sourced & hired through third parties for your session on request.
